“Being Black in America is a tragically beautiful responsibility. Blessed as I am to be a Black man, it comes with a weight of responsibility not easily understood. The same conversations my grandfather had with my dad, my dad had to have with me, and it is more than likely my sons will receive the same. It is a reflection of the threads sewn into the fabric of America. If only she would love me as I love her.”
