"Being mixed in today’s society is weird. I’m not white enough to be white nor am I black enough to be black. The fact that I’m transracially adopted makes it even more of a gray area. People identify me by my physical appearance and attach specific traits to that. They stereotype me. If I were to “label” myself or identify my culture, I’d say I was white because I was raised by a white family. It’s an awkward life to live these days, but I embrace it and love it."
